Avery's Restaurant is a family owned and operated casual dinning restaurant that was started by Bill and Laura Avery in 1949. They owned and operated the restaurant until1962 when they sold it to their son and his wife Charles and Lillian Avery. Chuck and Lillian ran the restaurant until  1985 when they sold it to their son and his wife Bill and Val Avery who run it today.

We started out in a small building down the road in 1949, and moved to our current location in 1956. The years have brought many improvements, but our basic mission has remained the same. Good food at a reasonable price. We are a family orientated restaurant, and we are proud of that. When you come in you will quickly see that we are not anything like a chain restaurant, and you will find a warmness that you can't find at a chain.

We are the oldest family owned business still operating in Mancelona.

We have a full menu and serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We are well known for some of our signature items such as the all you can eat Fish on Friday, and the Strawberry shortcake during the spring and summer months. Our homemade pancakes are still made with the recipe that has been handed down from my Grandmother.  We make homemade chili that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning tastes.

Avery's is a friendly place that has built a strong business from both the local and tourist trade. We value the many friends that we have made thru the years that stop in to see us often.

At Avery's we have a very extensive menu and try to fill as many special requests as possible. We run daily specials and always try to offer the highest quality food for the best value. You are always welcome at Avery's and we guarantee your satisfaction.

When looking for a place to get a good meal in the Mancelona area accept only the best, look for Avery's. The Avery name sits on one restaurant only. We are the original, and still the best.

We are located on US 131 North of town. Right next to the Glen's Market shopping center.
